Life’s messes are no match for Lil Helper’s Lifesaver Waterproof Mat. Durable, multi-purpose, and easy to clean, it’s the ultimate waterproof mat for everyday messes. One mat, hundreds of uses—ready for anything from life’s big fun to big chaos.

  1. Use a heavy-duty wash (longest cycle) on warm (max. 140°F/60°C) with the recommended amount of detergent. Make sure to use enough detergent.

  2. Line dry when possible or tumble dry on medium.

  3. Use a reputable, commercially available detergent, either plant-based or synthetic.

  4. Do not use laundry soaps such as castile or coconut-based soaps, or detergents with fabric softener.

We recommend a heavy-duty warm cycle with recommended commercially available detergent. Line dry when you can, but if you must, tumble dry low! Avoid any fabric softeners or dryer sheets to protect your mat’s absorbency.
Each Lifesaver Mat is made of 3 layers: waterproof PUL, absorbent microfibre, and a top layer of stay dry charcoal. Get all the details here.
This is the mat with a thousand uses. Waterproof PUL on one side, absorbent, soft, stay dry and stain resistant charcoal on the other, we are so proud of this product. That’s a great question! Unfortunately it is a little tricky to answer. If you evenly and steadily distributed water across the entire mat, we could probably give you an amount, but that’s not really how most humans leak and therefore not how the mats get used. We do have this handy video to show you how our Lifesaver Mats absorb. This should give you an idea of how it works and if it will be a good fit for the mess you have in mind!

Great as a change mat

We liked this as a change mat so much that we got another one. They are soft and light, and are easy to carry around. As a change mat, using the absorbent side is great because if the little one decides to shoot something out, it won't spread around and get everything wet. We haven't gotten much use out of the waterproof side yet, maybe when the baby is more active with throwing things.

Works great!

This has been such a great help during adult time! It stays dry on the surface, and keeps the bed dry. The fleece is so soft and cozy. It’s a million times better than a towel! It washes beautifully and hasn’t developed any odors. I wish I had gotten the XL size but the original works just fine!

Absolute game changer

I ordered this blanket (in the XL size) after having some mental blocks about messiness during intimate time with my partner, and it went absolutely above and my expectations. Amazing!!!

Lifesaver mat is the perfect name for this product. It truly is a lifesaver. I only wish I found out about this sooner. This product is so versatile. I do not have children, I use mine as extra menstrual protection and it has saved my mattress and couch many, many times. Highly recommend for anyone with heavy periods, anyone with children, or even pets.
