Tank Cloth Diaper and Insert Features Layers and Materials

Wash & Care

Before washing, make sure any solid matter is removed from your product. For items with heavy soiling that may stain or develop odors, rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear before storing for wash day.
For a deep clean, start with a pre-wash on a short cycle using warm water (up to 140°F / 60°C) and the recommended amount of detergent, such as Tide Original to Line 1. Follow with a heavy-duty, longest-cycle wash in warm or cold water, again using the appropriate detergent amount. To ensure proper agitation, add other items to create a full load.
For everyday or lighter messes or items already pre-rinsed, a regular cycle in cold or warm water (up to 140°F / 60°C) with the normal amount of detergent is sufficient.
Whenever possible, hang to dry. If you’re in a rush, you can tumble dry on low.

How do I Wash the Tank Insert Set?

What makes the Tank Insert unique?

Our Tank Insert set is able to absorb up to 300 mL of liquid. The Tank Insert set features a small insert that is topped with our stay-dry charcoal to keep your child comfortable, and a large insert made of bamboo for extra absorbency and a PUL backing that allows you to reuse your diaper covers through more than one change.

What are tank inserts made of?

Small Charcoal Insert- Top layer is Charcoal and 2 inner layers are Microfiber- both of which are 100% Polyester, the bottom of the insert has a stitched on bamboo stay dry liner to help disperse pee evenly across the large insert. Large Bamboo Insert- Top layer is a bamboo (80% bamboo, 20% polyester), followed by a microfiber layer and backed by a water-proof PUL for maximum protection from leaks! How do I wash the Tank Inserts?

Make sure any solid “stuff” is already out of the diapers, inserts, and liners before you throw them in the washer.
Be sure to unsnap the inserts from the diaper cover and each other before washing.
Pre-wash the diapers (short cycle) in warm water using the recommended brand and amount of detergent. We recommend Tide Original to Line 1.
Heavy Duty (longest cycle) warm/cold wash with proper detergent amount. We recommend Tide Original, amount depends on size of load.
Hang to dry as often as you can, tumble dry low if you are in a rush!

What are the dimensions of the Tank Insert Set?

The Large Tank Insert is approximately 32.5 cm or 13 inches long. The small Tank Insert is approximately 26 cm or 10.5 inches long. Remember, these inserts work together except for very small babies, so over all, the Tank Insert set is approximately 13 inches long.

Good when using both but bulky

Despite marketing by Uncle Mo saying that babies younger than 3 months only need the small insert, we had constant leaks by 1 month old I think when we did that. You really need both for adequate absorption, but it's really quite bulky.
